First Trailer for The Grudge

The teaser for Sarah Michelle Gellar’s new flick The Grudge has been posted over at Yahoo Movies.

The Grudge is yet another in a long string of recent hollywood remakes. This time it is based off of the lukewarm Japanese thriller Ju-on: The Grudge. The story centers around a supernatural curse born of a grudge held by someone who dies angry. The curse is then passed from victim to victim resulting in your typical horror mayhem. Considering it is being done by the same director of the original (Takashi Shimizu), it is quite possible that those fans of the original will enjoy the remake as well. I for one did not enjoy the original and I do not have high expectations for this one either.

So, let me get this straight: SMG’s first big movie epic (Scooby-Doo not withstanding) is as a VICTIM to a Japanese ghost? Um… does any other Minions out there thinks that, after seven years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there is little or no chance this film is going to seem believable?

I am inclined to agree with you Vince. I am not hyped about this one at all.
