Photos Of Dark Phoenix!

Superhero Hype has been sent some great photos of Famke Janssen as Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix in the upcoming X3.

I have to admit that she looks pretty bad-ass. Hopefully Brett Ratner will be able to keep up what Bryan Singer had going.

Famke Janssen really is an understated actress. Like many just-under A-list status actors and actresses in the Hollywood system, she’s never had a breakout lead role in a film to give her that boost into “super celeb,” but she gives it her all whether she’s a romantic interest (Love & Sex), desperate housewife (Don’t Say a Word), or an S&M assassin (GoldenEye). Notice how she always finds a way to kick some arse? Descriptions of Dark Phoenix have always included the words “beautiful” and “terrifying,” and I really can’t think of any other actress that would fill the bill or take the part as seriously as Ms. Janssen has.

veling in the full scope of her power, the Phoenix became even further corrupted. Searching for extreme experiences, she came upon the D’Bari system, within the Shi’ar Empire. She caused the sun to go nova, and absorbed it, and all life within the system into herself. Drunk on the power, she returned to Earth and utterly defeated her former team mates the X-Men when they tried to stop her.
