With the exception of Mortal Combat II: Annihilation (of a franchise) the fine folks at New Line Cinema have discovered an amazing fact: while larger studios doom sure-to-fail movies to the last half of August, one above average movie can make one devil of an impact, or in this case, vampires! Wesley Snipes is Blade, a half-breed blood sucker that has it in for all the rest. With a worthy villain, excellent side kicks, and an ending that doesn't disappoint, you can't help but wonder why this movie wasn't released sooner. See it with someone you'd take vampire-slaying after the flick.
